Pictures by Toomas Tamm
Parrots like this one are sitting on branches at various places in the park.
They do not seem to be confined; it is possible that some food is hidden
in the cup behind the branch. In any case, they allow the visitors to
approach very close; the image is almost uncropped, taken with 105mm lens.
Giraffes and other big friendly animals can be approached close in the petting
zoo.
A park employee was 'feeding' one by taking a bisquit into his mouth and
having the giraffe use its long black tongue to grab it while the crowd
watched, videotaped, and took pictures.
